European Commission adopts ITS on the format and frequency of trade reports to trade repositories

26 October, 2016

The European Commission adopted an implementing regulation amending the implementing technical standards (ITS) on the minimum details of the data to be reported to trade repositories.

This new ITS aims to address the short falls of reportable fields under the existing EMIR framework. The specific areas affected include but are not limited to:

  • Identification of counterparties and other entities
  • Counterparty side
  • Collateralisation
  • Specification, identification, and classification of derivatives
  • Unique Trade Identifier
  • Venue of execution

A complete list of Technical standards can be found on the EMIR page of the European Commission website here.
