FCA publishes third MiFID II consultation paper

September 29, 2016

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published today a third consultation paper on The Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II (MiFID II). This consultation paper focuses on conduct of business issues and a range of issues not covered in previous CPs.

The FCA is seeking specific feedback from firms on those elements where its thinking is advanced enough to make specific proposals. There is a convenient online response form or responses can be emailed to cp16-29@fca.org.uk.

The consultation period closes on 4 January 2017 except for Chapter 16 which requires comments by 31 October 2016.

A complete summary of the consultation paper and process can be found on the FCA website.
