The Joint Committee of the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) has finalised its proposal for Regulatory Technical Standards (RTS) on Key Information Documents (KIDs) for Packaged Retail and Insurance-based Investment Products (PRIIPs).
The proposed KIDs, which have been submitted to the European Commission for endorsement, provide retail investors for the first time across the European Union (EU) with simple and comparable information on investment products in the banking, insurance and securities sectors.
The ESAs are the European Banking Authority (EBA), European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA).
More information about the proposed KIDs can be found on EIOPA’s website by clicking here.
