FDIC – Instructions related to Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income for Third Quarter 2021

October 4, 2021 – FDIC issued Letter FIL-68-2021 and materials regarding the Q3 2021 Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income (Call Report) for the September 30, 2021, report date. Follows recent revisions that came into effect for June 30, 2021 report date. Referred institutions to attached supplemental instructions for further report guidance.

September 2021 Call Reports: Requested institutions complete early as possible, to identify, resolve any edit issues.New data items related to sweep deposits on Schedule RC-E, Deposit Liabilities are effective as of the Sep. 30, 2021, report date for FFIEC 031 and FFIEC 041 filers.

Report Filing: Each institution must file its call report by either using computer software to prepare, edit its report data, and then electronically submit the data directly to the CDR. Another option is, completing its report in paper form and arranging with a software vendor to convert the paper report to the electronic format that can be processed by the CDR.

Effectiveness:Except for some institutions with foreign offices, completed reports due October 30, 2021. Institution with more than 1 applicable foreign office given 5 additional calendar days.
