August 10, 2021 – Germany – Updated Law to Ward Off Tax Avoidance

For all accounts that have been opened since 01 July 2021: “If the self-disclosure cannot be obtained within 90 calendar days of opening the account or its plausibility cannot be confirmed, the reporting financial institution must inform the Federal Central Tax Office immediately, stating all the information available to identify the account holder.”
