EBA reporting framework 2.10 Update

April 9, 2020European Banking Authority (EBA) reporting framework 2.10 will apply from different reference dates due to different application dates of the regulatory requirements.

The main changes compared to the previous version of the EBA reporting framework relate to the following:

  • Changes applicable from 31/12/2020
    • Update to existing Funding Plans module.
    • Integration of the Remuneration benchmarking templates into DPM and XBRL taxonomies.
    • Integration of Fraudulent Payments into DPM and XBRL taxonomies.
    • Technical amendments on existing Resolution framework.
  • Changes to the ITS on Supervisory Benchmarking of internal models which will apply from 31/12/2020 (IMV from September 2020).


Funding Plans:

  • The templates have been revised and updated reflecting lessons learnt in analysing and validating banks’ funding plans and aim to better align with the definitions used in Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 680/2014
  • New templates for forecasting the statement of profit or loss [P 04] & Debt securities: issuances and redemptions [P 05] have been introduced, with the intention of monitoring trends over time in firms’ profitability and their impact in funding


Payment Services Directive 2 (PSD2):

  • New reporting requirement under EBA reporting framework
  • Article 96(6) of PSD2 requires all payment service providers (PSPs) to report ‘statistical data on fraud relating to different means of payment to their competent authorities’ and that competent authorities (CAs) provide


Remuneration benchmarking:

  • New reporting requirement under EBA reporting framework
  • Needs to be reported on EEA consolidated level, covering all subsidiaries and branches within a group, whether established in a Member State or in a third country
  • Data should be submitted using accounting year-end figures in Euro



  • Technical amendments on Resolution framework


Supervisory Benchmarking:

  • Inclusion of sub-set of new templates [C 111.00, C 112.00, C 113.00, C 114.00] dedicated to the benchmarking of the international financial reporting standards (IFRS 9)
  • Amendments to credit risk & market risk benchmarking templates
