AxiomSL | Alex Tsigutkin

Alexander Tsigutkin

CEO, Founder and Chairman of the Board

Alexander Tsigutkin is the Chief Executive Officer of AxiomSL, a firm he founded in 1991. Mr. Tsigutkin designed the original framework and foundation for developing enterprise-wide risk management, regulatory reporting and data management solutions. Additionally, he invented and patented a dynamic approach to manage data for risk management and regulatory reporting applications.

Prior to founding AxiomSL, Mr. Tsigutkin was an independent consultant to top tier international banks and financial institutions, advising senior management in the areas of banking operations and database engineering.

As an expert in regulatory reporting and risk management, Alex is a frequent speaker at technology and financial industry forums worldwide, addressing topics such as dealing with changes in regulatory and risk management space, achieving transparency across enterprise, financial control, data warehousing and bank regulatory issues.

Mr. Tsigutkin received his Bachelor of Art in computer science from Yeshiva University and attended the Graduate Computer Science Program at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University.

AxiomSL | Vlad Etkin

Vlad Etkin

CIO and Board Member

Vlad Etkin is the Chief Information Officer of AxiomSL. Mr. Etkin, who joined AxiomSL in 1992, has been instrumental in developing and implementing the software architecture that has enabled the company’s product suite to be recognized as a leader in successfully delivering regulatory reporting solutions at leading financial institutions.

Prior to joining AxiomSL in 1992, Mr. Etkin managed a group of programmers in creating one of the first FMS/ERP programs in Ukraine. Mr. Etkin also participated in – and then headed a group of programmers – the design of operating system and programs for numeric control devices for grinding machines. These devices were used to handle high-speed grinding of complex surfaces. Mr. Etkin earned his degree in theoretical physics from Kharkov University, Ukraine.

AxiomSL | Kathleen Corbet

Kathleen Corbet

Board Member

Kathleen Corbet is a member of AxiomSL’s board of directors. She has served on AxiomSL’s advisory committee since 2016 and was appointed to the board in 2017. Ms. Corbet brings extensive experience in financial information and technology as a 30-year veteran of the financial services industry.

Ms. Corbet is the founder and principal of Cross Ridge Capital, LLC, a firm specializing in private investing and strategic consulting in the financial technology and data industry. She previously served as President of the market intelligence firm Standard & Poor’s. Prior to that, she held senior leadership positions for more than 20 years at Alliance Bernstein LP, including Chief Executive Officer of its fixed income division, CEO of Alliance Capital International in London, and Chairman of Alliance Capital Australia & New Zealand.

In addition to AxiomSL, Ms. Corbet also serves on the board of directors of MassMutual Financial Group, BlackRock TCP Capital Corp and, prior to its acquisition by Gartner Group, CEB, Inc. She serves on the board of trustees of The Jackson Library and Waveny LifeCare Network. From 2013 to 2017, she was elected and served as Town Councilman in New Canaan, CT.

Ms. Corbet earned her B.S. in Marketing and Computer Science from Boston College and her M.B.A. in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Rick Kimball

Board Member

Rick Kimball joined AxiomSL’s board of directors in 2017, bringing significant leadership experience in the technology and finance industries.

Mr. Kimball has been a nationally recognized venture capitalist and technology investor for more than 30 years. In 1995, he co-founded TCV, which has emerged as a leading provider of growth capital to technology companies.

Prior to TCV, Mr. Kimball was a Managing Director at Montgomery Securities, where he spent more than 10 years focusing on telecommunications and data communications as a venture capitalist and senior equity research analyst. He graduated from Dartmouth College with an A.B. degree in history in 1978 and received his MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of Chicago in 1983.

In addition to AxiomSL, Mr. Kimball also serves on the Board of Directors of Actifio, kgb, and Rent the Runway. As well, he is a member of the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees, chairs its Investment Committee, and is a member of the Finance and Executive Committees. He is also a member of the UCSF Board of Overseers.

AxiomSL | Benjamin Eckstein

Benjamin Eckstein

Board Member

Benjamin Eckstein is a member of AxiomSL’s board of directors. He has served as a financial advisor and accountant for AxiomSL since 1991 and was appointed to the board in 2018. With more than 35 years of experience, Mr. Eckstein brings his expertise in a variety of accounting, tax, and financial matters to the board.

Mr. Eckstein served as part of the team that identified and evaluated potential outside investment partners for AxiomSL. In 2017, he played an integral role in closing and announcing the strategic investment from growth equity firm TCV. Outside of AxiomSL, Mr. Eckstein is an independent certified public accountant (CPA) whose practice includes small and medium-size businesses as well as individuals.

AxiomSL | Nari Ansari

Nari Ansari

Board Advisor

Nari Ansari is an advisor to AxiomSL’s board of directors. He joined the board in 2017 and brings extensive business experience in the technology sector.

Mr. Ansari is also a principal at the growth equity firm TCV, where he focuses on the fintech, healthcare IT, software, and tech-enabled services sectors. In addition to AxiomSL, he currently serves on the board of directors at HireVue, OneSource Virtual, and Watermark. His other active investments include Avalara, Payoneer, and Varsity Tutors. Previous investments include EmbanetCompass (acquired by Pearson) and Merkle (acquired by Dentsu).

Mr. Ansari joined TCV in 2006 as an associate and held senior associate and vice president roles before being named principal. Prior to TCV, he was with McKinsey & Company in the San Francisco office, where he focused on assisting clients in the software, storage, and semiconductor sectors.

Mr. Ansari received his M.S. and B.S. in management science and engineering from Stanford University.
