EIOPA Proposes Amendments to the Adopted Solvency II Technical Standards

April 21, 2017

The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) has identified some necessary amendments to the Implementing Technical Standards (ITS) on reporting and disclosure. In particular, this includes amendments to the ITS on templates for submission of information to the supervisory authorities, and amendments in the ITS with regard to procedures, formats and templates of the solvency and financial condition report. As such, these amendments concern the ITS, the Guidelines on Reporting for Financial Stability Purposes, and the Guidelines on the Supervision of Branches of Third-Country Insurance Undertakings. Some of the amendments also have an impact on the Solvency II XBRL Taxonomy, specifically the Governance of Taxonomy Releases.

All the relevant documents for the draft amendments can be found on the EIOPA website.
